Gordon Brown: Texture like pun
The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Gordon Brown, has been roundly criticised by MPs across the political spectrum following revelations that he diverted significant sums of treasury money into his own accounts in order to buy expensive gifts for his wife.
Following recent investigations into "financial irregularities" involving the chancellor, it came to light that, over a two year period, he spent almost six million pounds of tax payers' money on flowers and perfume for Mrs Brown.
Critics have described it as "a fragrant abuse of public funds".
